The Minister of Defense Nick Hækkerup (S) visited the 18th February 2013 the DAMRC members Kyocera Unimerco and Multicut. The optimism of the companies as well as the desire to find solutions impressed the minister.
In connection with the minister visit, the DAMRC CEO Klaus Bonde Ørskov presented the DAMRC model. This presentation provided the minister of defense with an idea of, how DAMRC creates new Danish industry jobs through introduction to/and implementation of new advanced productions technology. Within the DAMRC, the industry enterprises jointly conduct development projects. Thereby new advanced technology can be implemented faster and Danish metal enterprises can gain a global leading position in lucrative niches – i.e. within the aerospace and wind industry.
